East Sussex County Council have kindly provided information on all the footpaths in the area, some of which are not shown on the publically available Ordnance Survey maps. This information will form the basis for some interesting walks to be described in these pages.

Treading the start of the Cuckoo Line... (Redgate Mill to Cuckoo Line Stores at Town Row)
We'll start our walk from around Redgate Mill Farm, on Redgate Mill Lane (OS Explorer 135, TQ5532, 51° 4.2' N 0° 13.2' E) This walk requires stout waterproof shoes or wellies following periods of rain. Your options for starting the walk range from walking by other footpaths or roads to this area, being dropped off or parking in one of the several laybys near the bridges over Redgate Mill Lane.
